This policy covers local processing in Klangraum, direct connections to your music servers, optional Apple features, voluntary email support, and this website.

2. Scope and operation
Klangraum is an independent client for personal audio libraries. It does not operate its own user account, music catalogue, or Wehlflix media relay. It connects your iPhone directly to the Plex, Jellyfin, Audiobookshelf, or OpenSubsonic/Navidrome services you select. Data on your own server or with a third-party provider is also subject to that service's settings and privacy terms.
3. Data processed locally
Server profiles and addresses, account and library mappings, audio metadata, artwork cache, queue, playback positions, history, favorites, playlists, settings, and offline metadata are processed in the protected app area. Manually imported audio is copied into the app area. Approved Apple Music Library items are included locally only. Klangraum does not upload this content to Wehlflix or your music servers.
4. Credentials and Keychain
Klangraum does not ask for your Plex password or Plex 2FA code. Access and refresh tokens issued by Plex, Jellyfin, or Audiobookshelf, an Audiobookshelf API token you enter, and OpenSubsonic passwords or API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain. An Audiobookshelf password is sent only for direct sign-in to your server and is not stored by Klangraum after tokens are issued. Keychain entries are not exposed through Klangraum's music database, filenames, analytics, or normal diagnostic messages.
5. Direct connections to providers and servers
For functions you request, Klangraum sends technically necessary connection and authentication data, search terms, and library, artwork, download, playback, and supported write requests directly to the selected server. This can include the server address and IP address, username, token, API key, or password. Plex's official sign-in service is additionally used for Plex authentication. Destination, storage location, and logging depend on your selected server and provider.
6. iOS permissions and Apple services
Local Network permission is used only for direct connections to local servers. Apple Music Library access is optional and starts only after permission. Purchases and restoration use Apple StoreKit; Apple processes Apple ID, payment, and transaction data and sends Klangraum only the verified product and entitlement state. Apple's Privacy Policy also applies.
7. Diagnostics, tracking, and automated decisions
Klangraum contains no advertising, tracking, or analytics SDK and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission. Apple MetricKit information generated on the device is processed only as redacted aggregate stability information in the local system log. Diagnostic information leaves the device only when you voluntarily share it for support. There is no automated decision-making or advertising profiling.
8. Email support
If you voluntarily contact support, your sender address, message, timestamp, and optional attachments are processed to answer the request. The legal basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b) when the request concerns a purchase or contractual service, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f), based on the legitimate interest in providing support and correcting faults. Proton AG and your own email provider participate in delivery. Support messages are deleted when the request is complete and no legal or legitimate retention reason remains.
9. This website and Cloudflare
These pages are delivered through Cloudflare Pages. Technically necessary connection and security data such as IP address, time, requested address, browser, and status information may be processed. The legal basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(f); the legitimate interest is secure, reliable delivery and abuse prevention. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. These Klangraum pages contain no advertising, analytics, forms, or externally embedded media.
10. Recipients and possible international processing
App data is not sent to Wehlflix servers. Recipients are limited to servers or providers you select, Apple for StoreKit or optional Apple Music Library access, email providers for a support request, and Cloudflare when you visit this website. Processing outside the European Economic Area can occur depending on the location of your server, provider, or service provider; each provider describes its safeguards.
11. Deletion and retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete it in the app or remove the app. Disconnecting a server removes its Keychain credentials and local library data; you make a separate choice for existing offline files. Removing the app deletes its app container. Because iOS can retain Keychain data after uninstalling an app, disconnect servers in Klangraum before deleting the app. Server logs and Plex sessions are managed with the relevant provider.
12. Your rights
To the extent provided by law, you have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection. You can withdraw consent at any time for the future, including through iOS permission settings. Contact [email protected]. 13. Independence and changes
Klangraum is independently developed and is not affiliated with Plex, Jellyfin, Audiobookshelf, Navidrome, Spotify, or Apple Music. Trademarks belong to their respective owners. This policy is updated when features, data flows, or service providers change.
